Stacy Jamar Caffrey began her Equity Research career at PaineWebber, subsequently moving to Oppenheimer & Co. where she initiated coverage of the Restaurant Industry. She achieved Institutional Investor ranking in her first full year of coverage, and was top ranked in the Greenwich and Wall Street Journal Polls that same year. After five years as a ranked analyst, Stacy was named Associate Director of Research at Bank of America Securities. Subsequently Stacy moved to the buy side as a Senior Analyst and Junior Portfolio Manager at a small hedge fund. In addition to her new blog, Stacy is working with small businesses to maximize their brands and potential . Stacy earned her MBA from Columbia Business School, as well as her MA in American Studies from Columbia University and AB in History and Art History from Stanford University. Prior to earning her MBA, Stacy was a Contemporary Art Consultant. She is a founding member of a community activist group that is successfully fighting developer incursion, recently completed writing a nonfiction book on Boston Abolitionists, and is an avidly competitive rower, which takes her to Greenwich, CT in the wee hours of the morning several days a week.
